Kill The Chameleon
I sat down one morning to write a few notes on what I’ve seen help people over the years.
I didn’t want my experience to fade into oblivion as I became an old man.
A week later I had a manuscript. Six or so months after that I had a book.
The book isn’t really about burnout. Or productivity. Or strategy.
It’s about building a business that genuinely suits the person leading it.
If you’re curious, you can read the introduction. It tells you quite a bit about the book, and a little about why I wrote it.
Is this book for you?
This book is for people who care about what they do, but want plenty of energy, time and headspace left for everything else that matters to them too.
You might have built something successful, but find yourself wondering whether the way you’re doing it still suits you.
You might be tired of carrying too much, helping everyone else, or doing things simply because that’s how businesses are supposed to be run.
Or things might be going well, but you have a sense they could feel better.
This book is about discovering what genuinely works for you, then shaping your business around that.
Not just so it works well, but so it feels right to run, leaves room for the rest of your life, and becomes a business you genuinely love having.
What you’ll find inside.
This isn't a book full of productivity hacks or business formulas.
It’s a collection of stories, observations, practical questions and a simple framework, drawn from more than two decades of working alongside small business owners.
It will help you see yourself and your business more clearly, understand what genuinely works for you, and make better choices about what comes next.
I love hearing how readers connect with Kill The Chameleon.
